A man was rescued from his car on Saturday morning after high waters covered a roadway in Union, Kentucky.

Crews responded to Gunpowder Road near Mt. Zion Road just before 10 a.m.
Deputy Chief Maher of the Union Fire Department said a passerby reported the car was stuck and the was driver trapped.

Maher said the water had been as high as the passenger side window and crews waited about an hour for the waters to recede before freeing the driver.
