A car caught fire Wednesday in Clay County.

According to police, the fire started after the driver started the car up around noon.

The driver was able to safely get out of the car and call for help.

Officers say she had left the car overnight at Colson’s Market off North Highway 421.

Fire crews put the flames out quickly, but are still trying to figure out what caused the fire.
