The local emergency management office received multiple donations recently, including resources to help with improvements to its mass-casualty bus, the agency’s search, and rescue efforts, as well as a grant from the Department of Homeland Security.

Boyd County Emergency Management Director Tim England said that the department was awarded a Homeland Security Grant at the beginning of the year that is now going into effect to purchase a generator for the facility.
