The 7 Eyewitness News I-Team first reported a racist incident involving a Buffalo fire rookie finding a stuffed monkey hanging in the kitchen at Engine 4 in South Buffalo last week.

Since then, the city has taken a series of steps to address what is being called a “culture issue” within the department.
