One person was killed and another was critically injured in an overnight fire in Mayfield.

Around 9:16 p.m. Sunday, the Mayfield Fire Department was called to 510 Brand Street on report of a fire with people possibly inside. The home is located near Mayfield Elementary School.

When firefighters arrived they found heavy smoke and flames.
