An overnight house fire took two fire departments four hours to put out, according to the Stanton Fire Department.

Investigators say people told them they heard popping and then an orange glow in the night sky in Powell County around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Firefighters say flames were quickly shooting the roof of the home on Spednick Boulevard.
