Could the city of Shepherdsville operate its own EMS program in the next year or two?
While money hasn’t been spent, funding will be placed in the 2020-21 budget to be approved by month’s end by the Shepherdsville City Council.
Fire chief Layne Troutman said that with all the hoops that must be jumped to get approval to operate an EMS program, it is doubtful that anything could be done until the 2021-22 budget.
