One person is dead after an apartment fire in Lexington Sunday morning, according to the Fayette County coroner’s office.

The fire started at an apartment in the 3400 block of Lansdowne Drive between Tates Creek and Nicholasville roads, Battalion Chief Jordan Saas said. Crews responded around 7:30 a.
